Barnestorm Office > Codes > Security > Global Settings
A Case Manager is defined as the employee whose employee# appears on the Patient Referral screen, Employee tab, as Employee #1.
New global settings:
485
(A) If it is my 485, then print my signature
(B) Print signatures on all 485s of all employees
(C) Print signatures on previously mailed 485s
If (B) is True, then signatures always print
If (B) is False, then (A) and (C) control when or if signatures will be printed
Orders
(1) Case manager must actually co-sign verbal orders, using the Orders - Co-Sign Orders screen
(2) If it is my verbal order, then print my signature
(3) Print a co-sign area on all verbal orders
(4) Print signatures on all verbal orders of all employees
(5) Print signatures on previously mailed verbal orders
(6) Require case manager co-sign on all orders for their patients from other employees
(7) Require case manager co-sign on LPN and PTA verbal orders only
If (4) is True, then employee signatures always print
If (4) is False, then (2) and (5) control when or if employee signatures will be printed
If the ordering employee is the case manager, then no co-sign area will be printed.
If the ordering employee is not the case manager, a Co-Sign area will be printed:
if (3) is True;
OR if (7) is True and the ordering employee is an LPN or PTA and there is a case manager for that patient;
OR if (6) is True and the ordering employee is NOT the case manager and there is a case manager for that patient.
If the co-sign area is printed, the case manager's signature will be in the co-sign area:
If (1) is True, and the case manager has marked the order as co-signed
OR if (1) is False
If there is no saved case manager signature, or if (1) is True and the order has not been co-signed, then a line is drawn where an ink signature can be applied.
