04.06 Claims Created Summary

This report will give you information on claims created.  You can either print it with detailed information or a summary of the claim(s). Note that cancelled RAPs and EOEs will not show up on this report.

How to Run the Report

Barnestorm Office > Reports > Billing > 04.06 Claims Created Summary

  • From / Thru = From and Thru are the dates the claim(s) were created on.
  • Program(s) = Program(s) /Payer(s) / Employee(s) = Filter report by entering program, payer and/or employee number(s). Or leave blank to select all.

NOTE: The employee number will be for the employee who created the claim.

There are a few format options, choose one of the following:

  • Show every patient within each claim file (detail)
  • Show claim file names with total claims and dollars (summary).  NOTE:  When selecting this bullet, an additional option will appear at the bottom of the screen:  Show Transmission Info – By selecting this option, the transmission information will appear on the report.  This will show if that transmission has been submitted or not. It will only work for payers that post electronic payments.
  • Show total claims and dollars by payer (summary)
  • Search for Charges Never Billed:  This option searches for charges, in the system, where claims have NOT been created. --> Checking the box to exclude NC Medicaid PHP Payers is helpful with this option, which has a different billing process.
  • Billing Tracking (13.23): Shows the status of each claim created.  PPS payers will show RAP, EOE Unpaid or EOE Paid; Non PPS payers will show New or Paid.

Other formatting options include (optional):

  • Put each Program on a separate page
  • Put each Payer on a separate page
  • Drop Duplicates, only use most recent serial# of each claim. This will only work with 'Show every patient' option.
  • Show Electronic Payments from non-PPS Payers
  • Use the Patient field to locate claims for a specific patient.  If the patient has been discharged, check the box marked 'Include D/C Patients'.
