If the transferring agency has an active 485, then:

• Your start date is the date the patient was admitted to your agency
• Your end date is the same start date as the other agency's

To do this, you will use the "Special" date option on the Create a New 485 screen.
Set your dates as noted.

If the other agency does not have an active 485, then you'll do your 485 as usual.
