This feature will allow you to build groups of employees assigned to teams. You can use the team codes from the Referral > Employee screen and the Messaging feature.
To build groups of Teams go to Office > Codes > Status Codes> Employee Teams.

Using Team on the Referral > Employees Screen
The referral still has the old way of using the team codes - this part has not changed. The function for this feature is to help divide out reports by team numbers. We did add a place to key in the Employee Team numbers. This is optional. The purpose of this is to add a group of employees automatically into the Employees screen. For example, if you have a set of employees who are always assigned in a specific area, you can key in that team code to automatically insert their names. You can also modify the list by deleting an employee or adding, as needed.
The original Team field is located to the far right named "Primary Team#". This feature has not changed - you will continue to use it as you did before.
Using Team in the Messaging Feature
The Employee Team feature will be handy in the Messaging system. Just like Outlook groups, you can create a message and send it to a group of employees. For example, if you have a group of nurses who need a message, you can select the team code setup with all nurses and the message will be sent to all employees assigned to that group.
From the Messaging screen you will see two new options when selecting New Message; All Employees and Team. All Employees will send the message to all active employees who use Barnestorm. If you select the Team bullet you can key in the team code to send the message to the employees assigned to that team group.
