Barnestorm has you covered for EVV and has been fully integrated with Sandata in NC since December 2020 and sending thousands of visits successfully daily.
We can schedule a call with your agency to go over any questions you have, but here are some of the most common things people want to know about EVV.
Barnestorm EVV is fully integrated with your existing Barnestorm clinical and billing systems. The billing process is exactly the same as what you're used to.
Barnestorm EVV eliminates the majority of EVV and billing issues that Sandata creates, and simplifies the process because you don't have to manually enter your schedules into Sandata.
EVV Deployment Options with Barnestorm:
You can mix-and-match deployment options for different employees (for example, aides can use the app, nurses can use POC, and therapists can use telephony, or you can decide on a per-employee basis).
Barnestorm EVV does incur an additional cost, which is calculated on a per-patient basis, per month. You may need to invest in new equipment or cellular connectivity, depending on how you want to deploy EVV (this is not necessary, but optional depending on your budget, equipment, and situation) so it's important to start planning now, particularly for budgeting, timing, & training purposes.
Of course, we also recommend careful review of all NC DHHS materials for EVV.
NC Medicaid’s Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for Home Health Care (HHC) services will launch on Jan. 1, 2023. NC Medicaid Direct HHC providers who render the home health-type services noted below are required to complete a secure survey regarding EVV.
The survey is required for all Home Health providers and includes vital information regarding your readiness to participate in the EVV process. The deadline to complete the survey is July 22, 2022.
