NEW FEATURE: There is a new Auto-Send option in Barnestorm where we will send the claim to NC Tracks (or any approved MCO/Medicaid payers) directly from the Billing Screen. All you'll need to do is prepare the charges, and select the new tab option. Once the file is sent over, our software will also retrieve the response file, once NC Tracks has received/accepted/rejected the file. IMPORTANT: You will still need to go to the Transmit to Medicaid screen to view status and make sure the file receives the green checkmark (indicating the file has been accepted). You will follow the normal process of preparing the claims file. Click here for a quick recap. Here is the difference in screen view:
There will be an AUTO-SEND checkbox, in the outermost column of the billing screen. This will need to be checked, PRIOR TO clicking the Create HIPAA Tx button. Once the Create HIPAA Tx button is selected, the file will be sent, and a transmission report will appear on the screen. Click Print to print the report, or X to exit out of the window. To check the status of the transmission, go to the Transmit to Medicaid screen to verify file has received the green check mark. If not, follow procedure to correct/resend file. Response time can take up to 2 hours, depending on NC Tracks. Note: You will still need to keep your NC Tracks login information up-to-date, in order for a successful connection to the NC Tracks.
